How we work
Editorial Policy
How Zantrixos researches, writes, and reviews its content — accurately, helpfully, and independently.

Trust is the only thing that makes a music publication worth reading. This page explains how we research, write, review, and maintain everything on Zantrixos — and how we keep our content accurate, useful, and independent.
How we choose what to cover
We write about the real questions beginners and hobbyists actually have: which instrument to start with, how to practice so it sticks, how to record a song at home, how a chord works, how to sing in tune without straining. Ideas come from our own playing, reader questions, and the same hurdles we see people hit again and again. We do not chase trends or gear hype for traffic's sake.
Written by working musicians
Every article is written or edited by a named member of our team who has actually done the thing — played the instrument, set up the home studio, taught the lesson, or sung the part. Our work is grounded in hands-on experience and credible, recognised sources, then translated into plain language you can use tonight. When a claim depends on a source, we link to it, and we try to be honest when something is a matter of taste, debate, or personal feel rather than fixed fact.
Clear, encouraging, jargon-free content
We hold every draft to a simple standard: is this accurate, genuinely useful, and welcoming to a beginner? We avoid gatekeeping, shame, and the myth that you need talent or expensive gear before you're "allowed" to make music. We favour small, repeatable steps over overwhelming theory dumps, and we'd rather teach one thing well than impress you with ten. If a piece would only make a reader feel behind, it does not run.
Care with health and safety
Making music is physical, and we take that responsibility seriously. Zantrixos is not medical advice, and we say so clearly. When a topic touches the body — vocal strain, hand and wrist health, posture, or protecting your hearing at loud volumes — we write with care and point readers toward rest and qualified professionals rather than encouraging anyone to push through pain. See our disclaimer for the full statement.
How we handle gear and reviews
When we mention or compare instruments, software, or accessories, we describe them honestly and on their merits, never because someone paid for placement. Mentions are not endorsements, and we encourage readers to verify current specs and prices with the manufacturer, since they change often and vary by region.
Our use of AI tools
Our articles are written and edited by people. We may use software for spell-checking, research, or suggesting outlines, but a human writer is responsible for the substance, accuracy, and final wording of everything we publish. We do not publish auto-generated content.
Independence and advertising
Zantrixos is funded by advertising, including Google AdSense, and occasionally affiliate links. To protect your trust:
- We never accept payment to praise an instrument, app, or method, and we do not do pay-for-placement.
- Advertising is clearly distinguishable from articles.
- Affiliate relationships never change our judgement — see our disclaimer for the full disclosure.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do, we fix them quickly and transparently. If you spot an error or an out-of-date detail, email [email protected] or use our contact form. Substantive corrections are noted on the article.
Updates
Because gear, software, and our own understanding evolve, we revisit popular articles and refresh them. When a piece is meaningfully updated, the publication date reflects the most recent revision.
